I found this class very interesting. On the first day of class, the professor already gave us work to do. She separated us into three groups to do a presentation about the chapters of the book. In the beginning, I thought it was not going to be easy because normally people do not have communication skills and with everything online, some people were going to have bad internet or would not be able to completely express themselves through the computer. My group found ways so everybody could communicate. First, we created a What's app group chat where most of the people from the group could join. Our group leader made some group chat calls, people like it that way and they found a way to get the work done. I couldn't join the call since I was at work. People talked the whole through the chat to make sure everybody was doing their work. Once I got out of work, I started working on my part, my partner which I was supposed to work with. Was not in the group chat, I had to text her through blackboard’s mail. That way we did not get confused and help each other to do the work. My topic was leadership, I explained the different roles and maintenance a leader has and how to execute them. My first slide was about “Task Roles” where it explains different roles where the leader helps acquire processes or apply information that contributes to completing a task. My second slide was about “ Maintenance Roles” which keep the group positive and a positive relationship between them. And lastly, my third slide was about “Procedural Roles” which provides logistical support to the group. Once I finished my part of the project, I just needed to practice how I was going to present. I was surprised how everybody in my group was done so quickly and the work they did looked really good. The second day of class came and we needed to present. Group 1 and Group 2 did a really good presentation for the class and were well organized. Group has some problems with the internet which make it last longer. we thought that we were not able to present that day because there was so little time left. But even though we had very little time left we found a way to present and we did it well and quickly. When it was my turn I could not present because of my internet. Once I reloaded the page I saw I was skipped. But then I talked to my Group leader and she told me that it was fine because she was going to put me next. This proves how good communication we kept during the project. We ended up doing well.
