I really enjoyed the fact that professor Sherri decided to work with Corrine this semester on the theme project. As a person who knows many people who suffer from a disability it's really great professor Sherri decided to make us work on different presentations to bring awareness to many different disabilities. Group 1 presented visual and physical impairment a common disability I'm sure everyone has encountered. particularly I loved Alexandra's slides on farsightedness and nearsightedness. I really didn't know the key differences between those two visual impairments but Alexandra explained both using an image that shows what causes each impairment. in addition, I also enjoy Corrine's interview conducted by Ariel about cerebral palsy. I had a fellow classmate who suffers from cerebral palsy, I didn't really know the name of her disability but through Ariel's slides and Corrine's points on the disability, I now know some things about Cerebral palsy.

Group 2 presented Autism spectrum disorder and traumatic brain injuries. Group 2's presentation was very informative and everyone in that group contributed a great amount of work to make the presentation go smoothly. I can honestly say that teamwork is not a foreign concept to group 2. While everyone did great and got their points across, I will say David's interview took the cake. The interview was captivating and informational. David actually got to interview a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who has worked with both children and adults. I really love the interview, Joseline even left her email and phone number to the class if anyone wants to contact her.

For my group, we did deaf and hard of hearing along with specific learning disabilities. We all worked really hard to complete our slides and I believe we each showed good sportsmanship and we each took initiatives that pushed the group to do better and to work effectively to complete the project on time. We each checked over each other's work and gave feedback on what they should add and change. One thing from our presentation I really love was Tamiyah's interview with her uncle. Tamiyah gave us a glimpse of her personal life and showed us what a battle her uncle is facing every day. I really love how our group's interview was a personal one, where maybe someone in the class may feel comfortable to know that they can also interview a close friend or family member who is battling a disability. Then they will see how appreciative of that everyone will be because in professor Sherri's class they are no judgment. Although our team leader Martha had connection issues which caused us to start our presentation a little late than expected, but we had Tamiyah who stepped in and did her best to make the presentation go smoothly even though she had never been the moderator for our group before. I really appreciate all my team members and I know for our next project we all will showcase the same determination and drive to complete yet another project.
