Group Presentations (Tamiyah's PVO)

Group presentations that were held on Wednesday, May 12th was awesome. Each group did such a phenomenal job at presenting their power points by projecting their voices, including attention-grabbing videos and pictures, and interacting with the rest of us in the class. Further I liked the fact that we are all in groups, doing projects like these because Teamwork makes the Dream Work! When I presented my part of the project, I was kind of nervous but once I felt the energy of other people presenting doing so well, I fed off of it and just went with the flow, although I wasn't able to share my videos because we were running low on time everything was still well said and explained well enough. Presenting as a group is a group effort, but it also teaches you individual presenting skills as well. I can come off as bold but in reality, I’m very shy and don’t like to open up until I’m comfortable and that’s exactly how it was in my group, I got comfortable as if I knew my team members all my life lol. We started off our presentation process by figuring out all the topics that were within the chapter, then shortly after we all paired up and picked whichever topic we wanted to do. Everyone communicated very well with one another, helped each other out when needed, and came with positive energy when it was time to present. communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills are what is needed for an individual to be successful in their future endeavors. Although there are many skills one can obtain, these are the most essential. The goal is to put all of your skills in one basket to be able to use them effectively throughout your job or your everyday necessities. Today’s new workforce is very competitive, so being able to obtain, interpret, and apply these skills when needed is the ultimate advantage. I love that we are able to have leaders within are groups because it shows some sort of collective order that is well put together. Similarly, at different work firms, there is always a manager and assistant manager, they are needed to keep things in order and make sure things function properly. I believe that Success is anything that one makes it to be. It is important to note that you can take the exits that get you to your destination quickest or you miss an exit but take the long way and still get there. The point is that your destination is your successful future, and it is up to you what “exit” you want to take. The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called failure and a loop called confusion, However, if one has determination, and faith, they will always make it to that place called a success, so what if it takes 20 years as long as you put in the effort and dedication to get there than it was well worth the wait. There have been many scenarios where my group has been confused and kind of lost on how to do certain stuff, but we all figured it out together. While presenting previous groups messed up a little bit but picked themselves back up and tried it again, I can’t wait to see what the next presentation is like for all of us.
